Received the sand toys just in time for our trip to Hawaii. Although my twins are only 9 months old, they liked it and will be used for the next vacation we take. Very durable and the bag it came in was handy hauling it around to the beaches.

I bought this toy set for my niece to use for her very first trip to Cape Cod. She loved it, and I loved it! Very durable and plenty of tools to use as she built sand castles. The "sand sifter" kept her occupied and the plastic carry-bag kept everything organized.

We were going to a beach house for a week and had this product shipped to the house.

Kids were FIGHTING over this - and mind you we had a variety of other toys. What's so awesome about this - they're sized right!

My son is 21 months, his cousins are almost 3 and 4+. The handles were sized right so they could grab onto it and use it to dig/shovel. The digger was fun but they LOVED the little water pot and bucket. We didn't use the sifter toys, they weren't into it. The kids could lift the pot/bucket when it was filled with water - so that's nice. Kids always want to fill things to the top.

I personally was a fan of the sand shapers - it was really entertaining for the kids to pack sand in those and then smush them to make the train shape. They were very impressed with my skills. The airplane came out ok (most likely user error). We made a super cute moat with a castle that had trains/airplanes for walls.

It is beautiful and quality is good. I bought a set in BBRU for him and it's kind of long and big and does not include all that boy needs to play in the beach like this. This set is suitable for 1-3 years old.

This toy was suppose to arrive a day after my nephews birthday but instead it was shipped perfectly and arrived on the of! He was so excited to have it and now my sister-in-law says he keeps asking to go to the beach so he can play with it! I'm very pleased with this product as well as the company.

 Fun Additions to the Sand Box - May 12, 2010

I was a little hesitant to buy this product due to some of the reviews about durability. However, we've had this product for a week and so far it's been a great addition to our sand box. The toys seem very durable and a lot comes with the set. Granted, my 3 yr old is using them in a sand box as opposed to the beach so he may not be using them as hard as others. My son also loves to take water from his water table and put it in the sand table which is perfect for using the train and airplane molds. The sifter is also really fun. We hide shells and such in the table and he loves using the shovel and sifters to search. So far we are very happy with this product...it did exceed my expectations. If anything breaks in the new future I'll report back.

 not very durable - May 03, 2010

First of all, my daughter loves these toys; we bought them for her sand box in our back yard. Unfortunately, the shovel broke in half (handle's plastic snapped at base of shovel) after less than 2 months of use. The handle just snapped off. (My daughter just turned two when this happened so I'm assuming she didn't do it!) The sifter has little notches on the side so you can set it on top of the bucket. My daughter loves to pour sand through the sifter and into the bucket to see what size pebbles stay on top. That is probably the most "educational" this toy gets (which is why I gave this 2 stars for the educational value--but this isn't an educational toy, so I don't think that's a bad thing). And my daughter LOVES the watering can. She uses it literally every day to water our hibiscus.

Pros: fun colors, lots of different toys in one set
Cons: shovel broke soon after purchase

My son loves his new beach toys.Arrived on time in great condition as always. Thank you amazon.
However, we saw this same toy today at target priced 9.99+tax so if a trip to target is not so much of a trouble for you try your local target store.

This kit contained many brightly colored items- all the basic beach toys, plus a couple of fun molds (train and plane). We haven't taken the toys to the beach yet (but we have played with them in the bath). I was a little disappointed in the quality of the plastic- I was hoping the plastic would be a little thicker, and less brittle-feeling. The carrying-case is nice, but I realized a net-like bag would be better, so all the sand can shake off and the toys can dry out. I can imagine the plastic bag will get full of sand and dirty water after the first use. So, I'll probably find a different bag to carry them in. Overall though, I think the price is quite reasonable for what you get. This will get us started for beach play- and if I can buy more toys later if necessary.

What I love the most about this play set is that it's for both sand and water play. Everything is really small but for the price and quantity of toys is comes with, I can't complain.

These sand toys are nice but the only downside is a few of them are not that durable. The bucket cracked in half and the top of the watering can came off pretty quickly. The other tools have held up well though.

We bought this set for our children ages 7, 6, 5, and 2 for a vacation at the beach. They all enjoyed this set. They didn't have much use for the sifter, and the watering can was a bit small, so they had to keep going back to the water to refill it. Overall it stood up to daily use by these 4 children for a week - which was all we needed. It was nice that everything fit back into the carrying case as well.

we ordered this sand set for our 18 month old. we took it on vacation with us and she is just learning to have fun at the beach. this is a great set with all of the basics, she especially enjoyed the watering can. great value!

I bought these toys for my neice and nephew before a trip to the beach (they are 4 and 1). They had a good time with the toys and they held up through a week of hard play. But we were disapointed that there weren't pieces to build a castle in the set, so we need up buying a second one to supplement.
