Excited for Santa to give this to our little girl - Sep 26, 2010
I received this as a special Santa gift for our 4 year old. I am so excited for her to get it. The colors are precious and it appears to be VERY durable. I read many reviews from other parents who also loved this product. I haven't read a bad review yet. Awesome toy.
radio flyer scooter - Sep 17, 2010
bought this for a birthday gift for our granddaughter who is a toddler. She loves it. Very sturdy with the three wheels.
My daughter is in love! - Sep 13, 2010
We bought this for our 3 year old for her birthday. She is absolutely in LOVE with it. Like previously mentioned there really is no turning radius with it, but honestly who cares. Also big cracks in the sidewalk can't be ridden over, but she's not trying any Tony Hawk style stunts! She loves to ride down the sidewalk like her big sisters!! I don't think I've ever seen her so in love with a gift than she is with this scooter.
1st scooter - Sep 11, 2010
I purchased two Radio Flyer My 1st Pink Scooters this year for two grandbaby girls as they turned two. They were thrilled to get them and were able to hop on and ride them immediately. The scooter is very safe with the wider foot area, and perfect color!! Having older siblings that ride scooters, it was nice that they could join in the fun, too!! I'll be ordering another one in 2011 when the next baby turns two.
Terrible Choice - Aug 26, 2010
Horrible. Can't turn. Trying to turn makes it tip over. Because steering is so hard and makes you fall, this scooter is a lot more difficult to ride than a 2 wheeler. It's a terrible choice for anyone but especially for a little one who's supposed to learn to ride a scooter on this thing.
highly recommended - Aug 09, 2010
Bought this for my almost 4 year old (who has been asking for a scooter for awhile) and my 2 year old. The four year old took a little practicing and got the "scooting" motion down. I was a little concerned that she is on the upper part of the age bracket, but it seems to be age appropriate for her. The 2 year old just doesn't get it yet (she wants to stand on it and be pulled). They both love them though, so that makes me happy. They are well built, and I feel are quite durable. Would def. recommend to a friend and buy again!
Two-year old loves it! - Jul 11, 2010
I bought this for a two-year old's birthday. I wasn't sure if she would be able to use it by herself, but she has 3 older brothers with razor scooters who I figured would help her. It took less than a week for her to get the hang of it herself. She plays with it every chance she gets and won't let her brothers near it! It's very stable and she learned how to push herself off and coast on it. I also gave her the Disney helmet and knee pads. This is a great toy to get the kids out of the house and away from the computer and t.v.
GREAT first scooter! - Jun 01, 2010
I gave this to my niece for her third birthday and she LOVES it! She had been asking for a scooter and my sister did some research online and found that this one had the best reviews...and Amazon certainly had the best price when we purchased. It is sturdy, no assembly required, and easy for a three year old to handle. I would definitely recommend it to someone looking for a first scooter. Radio Flyer quality, sturdy, and really cute and girly!
SCOOTER REVIEW - May 06, 2010
LOVE THIS SCOOTER! PERFECT FOR MY 3YEAR OLD - GREAT FOR TEACHING COORDINATION & BALANCE! THE PRICE HERE WAS WAY LOWER THAN IN STORES!
Just OK - May 05, 2010
This scooter is priced too high for its limited features. For one thing, it is not adjustable at all. The handlebar height is fixed, and a bit too tall for toddlers. Also, use some better bearings for the wheels. This thing is too slow. Overall, it is a safe product, but it needs to be more practicle. Right now, it's just a pretend scooter so that the toddlers don't feel left out when the bug kids get on the razor scooters. However, they will find out quickly that it's not the same.
even great for indoors! - Apr 24, 2010
i've got to double check around corners now or the little gal will run me down! she has a blast with this scooter. it's not durable to hold an adult so don't even try!
i got it on sale for $29 and sells regularly for $35 at target here. so consider that before dropping $50 for it at the price it is now.
great first scooter - Apr 23, 2010
When my not-terribly-coordinated four year old asked for a scooter for her birthday, I thought long and hard about the design that would work best for her. I knew she couldn't handle a two-wheeler, because they are just too tippy for her body strength. But the ones with two wheels in the back seemed likely to trip her up as she pushed herself forward. I'm very pleased that we ended up with this model, which met both of these concerns. The center of gravity is toward the front of the scooter, because the two wheel base is in the front. While this may make quick turns slightly more unwieldy, the overall result is that my daughter can scoot quite comfortably, without any danger of toppling to one side. The cute pink color is also a plus, at least in my daughter's book. Overall, I highly recommend this scooter, particularly for first-timers and children with smaller builds.
Nice Beginner Scooter - Feb 20, 2010
Actually, when I purchased this scooter for my 4-year old grandchild, I was concerned that she might fall down and injure herself. My fears were unnecessary. The THREE wheel design made this scooter an ideal choice. Much more stable. She loves it.
Fun and stable! - Feb 03, 2010
All my daughter wanted for christmas was a pink scooter and we got her this one. She LOVES it - it is very solid and is great for a toddler. I love that it has the double front wheels for stability. Excellent product!
Great gift for my daughter. - Feb 02, 2010
She is only 28 months but she really loves it. I think she can play with it until she 5 years old
NIce for young todllers - Jan 30, 2010
We bought this for my 2 year old and she loves it. Rides it around the house. My 5 and 7 year olds ride it also. Doesn't have a robust build, and doesn't make tight turns. But the stability is very good for young children. We liked it so much, that my 5 year old just got the next model up for her birthday.
Favorite Christmas Present - Jan 21, 2010
I thought the big hit under our tree would be the boxed set with all the Disney Princesses in it but I was wrong. This has by far been my three year olds favorite. It's well made and the perfect size for her. She loves it.
great buy - Jan 07, 2010
durable, easy to put together, cute girl's design, wide base allows for more balance w/ younger kids
Perfect scooter for a 2-year-old princess! - Dec 29, 2009
Our daughter received this for her second birthday and she loves it! Her bday was in September and she is just now really getting into it and learning how to push along with one of her legs. I think the quality is great. Yes, it does not turn easily but that is how you keep the younger kids from falling off! It's a starter scooter that helps them learn to kick off and get the confidence to move onto a bigger scooter, it's definitely not made for older children who can ride bikes or regular scooters already. I love the wide standing board and my daughter is having a blast with it! Oh, and the pink is adorable!
My Granddaughter Loves It! - Dec 26, 2009
I bought this for my 3 year old granddaughter and she jumped on immediately and had so much fun.
Not the scooter for us - Dec 13, 2009
My little one was nearly 3 when we bought this for her. She had to pump and pump but it does not glide. It is not designed to, I don't think. The kids don't really get to learn how to ride a scooter with this model because it really doesn't move except for when they're pumping it. Wasn't fun for her - just frustrating. She's now nearly 4 and we just donated it because she didn't use it. :(
Great stability for little girls - Dec 01, 2009
We got this scooter for my daughter's 3rd birthday. Our younger daughter loved it so much (1.5 years old at the time) that we had to go back to Walmart and get a 2nd one. The now 3.5 year old does little tricks on this and is very secure on it, even the barely 2-year-old can scoot very well and tries to keep up. The 2 sturdy front wheels are a must for someone this little. This scooter was left outside for months and it still works like new.
Great first scooter - Sep 17, 2009
We like this scooter a lot -- but be sure to check out the competition. [...].
My daughter loves it! - Aug 21, 2009
We bought this scooter for our daughter's 2nd birthday. She absolutely loves it and has a great time chasing after her big brother on it. The only thing I do not like about it is that there is no turning radius (the reason I gave it 4 stars). It is really only good for riding up and down the sidewalk - my daughter has to get off of it and turn it around herself to get it to go another direction. She doesn't seem terribly bothered by it at this point but I am sure she will at some point. Other than that, I think it is a great product and would highly recommend it.
Not great for older kids. - Jul 24, 2009
We bought this for our 4 year old last Christmas. She loves to goof off on it around the house. But will not ride it the full block, much less to the park. It does not roll or turn as easily as she would like. (By contrast, she flies on her bike.)
Probably great for 2 or 3 year old beginners. Decent stability in that regard. But we're not impressed for the 4 to 5 year old set.
