So the little guy finally outgrew his infant/toddler tub even at 8 months old. So, the big tub he goes. The metal spout is a hazard, so what to do? This spout cover is cute, does the job and is really, really cute. For $9, you preserve your baby's head from a big banging and a possible ER trip. Totally worth it. A definite buy.

Our baby's not here yet, but I got this because a bath spout cover seemed like a smart thing to have. Friends of ours have the Elmo one, and it frustrated me because I could not use the tub as a shower unless I took the cover off. This one, by letting the shower spoke through it, allows you to use the tub as a shower, as well as protect the baby. Also remarkably easy to put on and take off - I'm very happy (and amazon has a better price than the other places we've seen it).

I use to have the Sassy Soft Spout Tub Guard frog, which is absolutely useless in every way, I replaced it for this one, we have a long thin modern spout, and kind of nothing can be attached to it, the plus of this spout guard is that you can tighten it sideway using the whale flippers, which make looks ours like an anorexic dolphin, but at least, does the job properly :)

This is a great cover. I thought the plastic would be much harder (like the other ones I had seen in stores) but it is very flexible and cute! The adjustable "fin strap" works very well. It fits very tightly on the tub spout (if properly adjusted) and does not have any small openings or fissures. Therefore, easy to clean (is dishwasher safe!) and doesn't have anywhere for mold or mildew to hide. My daughter seems to enjoy the shape, but isn't so interested that she tries to pull it off. GREAT PRODUCT!

We love this spout cover. Yes, we have the shower diverter but that is not what keeps it on. We have a standard sized spout and it stays on just fine.

This is excally what is says it is. It covers the spout of the bathroom and my son is still trying to figure out how to take it off since there is a strap to tighten around the spout instead of just sliding it on like some of the other ones. its not totally child looking like an elmo but still cute enough to be for a boy or a girl or in a bathroom for both.

I am so grateful we bought this faucet cover. We bought it based off of the reviews and it was totally worth it. It's made out of a harder rubber which makes it not too hard but not too soft. It seems like so many faucet covers were either just as hard as the faucet itself, or they were those inflatable ones that seem like they'd get a hole in them super easily. This thing is perfect. It's really easy to put on the faucet and even easier to adjust it. You pull on either side of the whale's flippers to tighten the cover. Great, great product. I'd buy again.

I received a blow up one for my baby shower and my daughter bit a hole in it. Then I had a hard time finding a replacement with the opening at the top for our shower. I love Moby he not only protects my daughter from getting hurt in the tub, but also allows us to still use the shower with out taking the cover off everytime becasue of the opening for the shower pull. I would recommend this product to everyone I know who has a shower pull attached to there spout. I am thinking about buying an extra to keep on hand.

 Works fine but gets moldy! - Sep 06, 2010

I love the design, and love my other Skip Hop products (diaper bag especially). And, contrary to other reviewers who have had it slip off their faucets with no shower converter-pin, ours stays on pretty well with our smooth faucet. (We tighten the fins, and take it off after each bath.) Also, our toddler likes to take this and play with it at the end of the bath in the tub. So it wins on cuteness for kids too. BUT -- this isn't mold resistant from what I can tell at all. We noticed mold after a few months of use, even after taking care to air it out from its hook/tail. It tends to collect in the small crevice under the whale's spout on the inside of the cover, and we really need to scrub to get it out. Now, after about nine months of use, there's pretty bad mold growth on the curve of the tail too. I know we have a high incidence of mold growth in our bathroom even with extra care to clean and ventilate, but I wish this product was a little more fuss-free, considering that any additional work on top of parenting is hard to manage.

I love this spout cover. It was surprisingly easy to put on and secure, it's easy to take off and clean, and it's sturdy but soft enough to get the job done. My son is too busy to sit still, this has saved his head a few times. My mom got a different, more expensive one and had to throw it away because it did not adjust and was too hard. We both agree that this is the best!

We were worried that our one year old would slip and hit her head on the spout. This does the trick. Now, if she slips and hits her head she may cry, but she won't have a dent/gash in her head. Fits nicely and still allows us to pull the little shower diverter thing up. That's about all you can say about a simple, but effective product. It works!

A trusty little item that works well with your shower/bath tub if you have the diverter (CAUTION: IF YOU DON'T HAVE A SHOWER DIVERTER THEN THIS MAY NOT WORK!). We do have the diverter so this works quite well. My son is always walking around in the bath tub and is very interested in the spout so when he has leaned over and then stood back up, he's bumped his head, but it didn't hurt/phase him because of this product! Well worth it! It looks cute and is easy enough to tighten to fit your spigot's width. Sometimes slips but it just needs to be tightened. It doesn't interfere much when you're in the tub and want to raise the diverter to have your shower..I never thought this was a problem but perhaps someone will find it as a slight "inconvenience." Just a heads up there! Overall, a great product that works like a charm!

We were looking for a faucet cover since we give a bath to my daughter in the tub instead of her baby tub, she loves the water and lover touching everything, including the faucet. In addition she is standing up and falling down, so it was a matter of time until she hit her head against the faucet. I read all the reviews and I decided on buying this one since we have a shower converter and it seemed to have open surface that would decrease mold. so far it works great, very easy to put on the faucet. I just wish it was sold by amazon in order to get free shipping.

as other people have mentioned, without a shower diverter this is a useless piece of plastic. frankly, i'm not really sure how it would work properly even with a shower diverter, as it would only seem to stay attached if the faucet had a very wide circumference.

it's always the same.... every time i try and buy something that looks kind of modern-y and cool for baby, it ends up being a total piece of cr*p. better off finding the loudest most obnoxious dora/spongebob out there... at least might actually work!

I love this spout cover. I didn't want elmo or something inflatable and I wanted something that was PVC free. This is perfect. I haven't noticed any mold and it fits perfectly over our faucet. Our son likes to play with it now that he's eleven month old - not sure if that's a plus or a minus. He's fallen into it a couple of times and all was fine. I'm glad I purchased!

This is a great spout cover. It fits well on my standard spout with shower pull, and and my son is unable to get it off. My son loves to play with the spout, and this cover offers the protection I was looking for.

This little whale is adorable. It is very easy to get on and off the spout and the tail is a hanger when you want to clean the spout, etc. My son likes the whale and wants to play with him but he can't figure out how to get it off the spout. It's a nice alternative to the duck ones that are so popular and the whale is BPA and PVC free, can't beat that!
