Should be labeled nesting cups - Oct 27, 2010
I got these sturdy, beautifully colored cup set for my 22 month old daughter and she LOVES them. She loves setting them inside each other and taking them apart, handing them out to all of her daycare friends and playing with them in the bath. She loves having them all in the bathtub and doesn't play with any other of her bath toys if they are in there. I agree, they do not stack so if you are buying them to do that, it is not the case.
don't stack - Oct 22, 2010
As mentioned by other - these do not stack well at all. I have an infant who absolutely can't stack these though she can stack a brand bought at a local store. I struggle to get them all to stack and stay in place. The main purpose of these cups is to stack (hence the name) & they don't - very disappointing.
Toy made a big hit with baby - Oct 11, 2010
These stacking cups were fascinating to my 6 month-old grandson. He enjoyed pulling the cups apart and teething on the smaller ones. Since these are safe toys, I was not worried about it going into his mouth. He rolled the cups around and tried to crawl after them. I think they were a great motivator for him to start crawling. They were very inexpensive and they can grow with him.
Great cups - Oct 11, 2010
My son loves these. He has lots of fun with them in the tub. I like that they are bpa free.
Perfect classic toy! - Oct 10, 2010
There is a reason the cups are a classic. My son absolutely loves this toy, he plays with them happily all by himself. They are one of his favorite toys.
Awesome Bathtime Play Cups! - Oct 04, 2010
I bought these cups for my 8 month old twin sons but my 2 1/2 year old daughter ADORES them and actively plays with them in the tub as well. I find the colors to be totally unisex and I love that the material is safe for my kids, who often have them in their mouths. They're affordable and durable and dry very nicely. (We keep them in a mesh bag that's hung on the wall near the tub.) Great product! :-)
Fun, safe cups for baby! - Sep 26, 2010
My 9 month old son loves these cups and has had them about two months now since he was about 7 months. I am happy they are a green product and safe for him. He likes to throw them, chew on them and play with them in the tub.
Don't stack well; not good for teaching basic colors - Sep 26, 2010
These cups are cute and I like that they are eco-friendly and non-toxic. However, I wish I had paid closer attention to the colors when I ordered them, because they are not perfect for teaching. There are two peach/pink colored cups that can only be described as "salmon" colored, which I think is a weird color to teach a baby! They also don't stack nearly as well as other cups -- especially on a rug or carpet base -- because of their slick, rounded grooves and edges.
Despite these complaints, my son enjoys the cups. He chews on them, nests them, and often carries one or two around with him. They are fun for bath time, too. I bought them before he was born and he still plays with them at almost a year old, so they aren't terrible. I just wish I had shopped around a bit more before choosing this set.
My baby boy's favorite toy - Sep 25, 2010
My baby will be 6 months next week and he loves these cups, that's the first toy he reaches for. Right now, he just likes manipulating them, chewing on them, pulling them out of each other and dropping them to watch them roll around. It's also keeping him busy during car rides, so far it has entertained him longer than any other toy. They have shapes at the bottom of them so I imagine we'll be able to make "prints" on the sand next summer, and they also have little holes at the bottom, which will be useful when he gets older at bath time. I can see this toy lasting a long while. So simple, but so entertaining, it's genius!
great cups- but, not for stacking - Aug 25, 2010
i love these cups. colors are nice, drainage holes are a must for bath, and they make good sounds when banged against each other.
however they are difficult for children to stack. i can stack them with patience, but forget expecting a child to do. overall, minus the anti-stacking feature they are worth the purchase. children will find many things to do with them regardless.
like it's eco-friendly - Aug 20, 2010
But I wish the colors are less "pink and peach"!! - I have a baby boy and it's kind of silly when we have playdates, all the girls want to grab his stacking cup set.
They need to make the colors more "boy friendly".
Great Toy for Toddler - Aug 19, 2010
These cups are on the smallish side and I wish they were a little more brightly colored. That being said, my eight month old adores them. He will play with them non-stop in the bath, on the floor and in his crib. Since he is the end consumer, I will put aside my minor quibbles and rate them as he would. Five stars all the way!
great - Aug 18, 2010
What is there to say? they are plastic cups! we use them for everything, bath, beach and playtime, my son loves them!
Stacking & Nesting Cups - Aug 16, 2010
My 9-month old adores these cups, she plays with them all the time. They nest and stack. I do not have problems stacking them (except when she's right there to knock them over). She loves putting these in her mouth and is constantly chewing the rims of these. They are BPA-free which is nice compared with other stacking cups. Highly recommend Green Sprouts. Great durability and great toy. As I'm learning and these cups taught me, sometimes the simplest toys are the best.
stacking? who cares - Aug 14, 2010
I read everyone's reviews before purchasing this for my then 5 month old grandaughter- she LOVES them. She can only take them apart and scatter them and then pick them up an stick them in her mouth, but this keeps her joyfully engaged. Her fifteen month old friend LOVES them. He likes putting them one inside another (total two- not the whole stack) and also arranging them (15-month old version). When my other granddaughter becomes 5 months I most likely will buy her a set, too.
I bought these particular stacking cups because the lips are rounded, the colors are engaging (not EVERYTHING has to be primary colors), and they didn't look cheap like so many stacking sets do. I can stack them, and I'm not concerned that small hands might not be able to make a complete tower! Very pleased.
Great little toy!! - Jul 24, 2010
I actully bought these for the baby we are expecting but our two year old loves them!! She has played with these for much longer than her other toys. She passes them out to her dolls and animals and we use them as tea cups. Love that they are non-toxic, what a great simple little toy.
Great teething toys! - Jul 22, 2010
This is a gift from a friend for my son.
He just love it so much and use it not only for stacking but also as teething toys!
It is easy to wash and clean.
Highly recommended.
My 6 month old daughter's favorite toy! - Jul 15, 2010
My 6 month old daughter has loved these cups since the moment she laid eyes on them. They occupy her for the longest of all her toys and she is learning as she plays, which I love. She is now 7 months going on 8 and she still loves them. If I take any toy with us anywhere, it's these cups. She chews on them, bangs them together, stacks them, pushes them around, looks through the holes in them... they are great.
great product - Jul 10, 2010
I bought these because they are nontoxic plastic, but wasn't sure if my 5 month old would be interested in them. He absolutely LOVES these cups! They're the favorite toy right now by far. He can grasp a cup in each little hand, then drop them and pick up another color when it catches his eye. When I take these to our play group all of the babies reach for them! We've also used them in the tub, the float and have tiny holes in fun shapes on the bottom.
babies of all ages are drawn to these! - Jul 04, 2010
my little one is 7 months and loves playing with and teething on these cups. when they are out at our house, other babies much older, and younger than she, are drawn to these and love to play with them also. we have not put them in the bath yet, but will. so far, they've served as a great toy even without using in the tub. good buy, and i love knowing they are green and safe when she's teething on them.
Cute stacking cups - Jun 30, 2010
I recently bought these cups for my 10 month old son because he currently likes to put everything in his mouth and I knew these were safe for him. He is not able to stack them yet, but he does like to take the cups out, chew on them and then throw them. I am hoping as he gets older he will enjoy the cups more in the tub. My only complaint (why it gets 4 stars instead of 5) is the water does not come through the holes very well in a few of the cups so some water just sits in them without draining. A good product though for a fairly cheap price.
Good for small hands - Jun 28, 2010
The cups were a little smaller than I expected but it's fine since it makes it easier for my 7 month old to grab them. He doesn't seem as interested in them as i hoped. He picks them up every now and then to try a drink from them (I guess he thinks they are real cups) but other than that he just looks and tosses them aside. I'm hoping he will play with them more once he is more intereste in nesting/ stacking items.
Simple, Green and Fun! - Jun 19, 2010
I bought these stacking cups for my 1-year old son. They are pastel-colored and made from toxin-free, eco-friendly materials. He is still playing with them (stacking them and such) at 2! I would highly recommend this green product for any eco-savvy parent!
Good Quality & Simple Fun~! - May 23, 2010
You can buy all the toys you want for you baby (as I do) but they will never get tired of stacking and unstacking these cups. These are nice sturdy cups at a decent price, you can't go wrong with these.
instant favorite - May 20, 2010
My 6 month old loves these. They are just the right size for her little hands to grab and turn. She likes to chew on the rims and for some reason hangs onto these much longer than any other toy. I got them initially for the bath but she plays with them all the time everywhere now. She likes them better than her oodles of multicolored, multitextured baby toys.
